Analyst, Financial (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

The Business Unit Finance & Pricing Analyst provides analytical and financial support to the Director of Finance & Pricing on price changes, planning & forecasting, reporting, and analyses in a variety of areas related to revenue management and finance. This individual will work closely with Business Unit Operations Directors, General Managers and Market Development Managers to support the Business Unit and provide analytics and recommendations to drive profitability. This individual will also collaborate with the Corporate Finance team to support planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing

• Conduct pre- and post- promotion effectiveness analysis
• Manage and coordinate price and promotion changes, including development & maintenance of price trees, & promotion calendars
• Ensure accuracy & maintenance of Demantra Pricing/Trade Promotion system
• Support analysis of pricing & promotion rates for annual financial plan & monthly forecasts
• Develop tools to facilitate & conduct analysis of volume & profit performance to drive better business decisions
• Resolve pricing exceptions/disputes by working with Sales and Promotions teams
Annual Financial Plan

• Assist the Manager / Director of Finance & Pricing in the development of the AFP
• Deliver plan targets to field sales, including analysis on key plan levers
• Support General Managers in achieving & tracking business performance against Plan targets

Financial Performance Review

• Support BU forecast and month close process as required
• Analyze variances in actual results vs. Plan, vs. forecast, & vs. prior year
• Identify areas of opportunity based on key business performance metrics
• Assist in conducting financial results review process with VPs and GMs

Reporting

• Prepare and publish monthly financial results decks and scorecards
• Complete regular and ad hoc reporting to support decision making process
• Include insightful analysis with reporting to drive business results (volume, margin, ROI)
