Direct Sales Coordinator (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for managing the Wine Club and eCommerce sales channels for an assigned wine brand. The Direct Sales Coordinator is directly responsible for programming, planning and execution of activities within these two channels in order to meet business targets.

Essential Functions:

• Administer all aspects of Wine Club and e-commerce (marketing activities, billing, customer service, incremental sales, special promotions and inventory tracking)
• Manage member data-base, mailing list, including cancellations, special requests, on-hold memberships, etc.
• Work with Email Marketing Coordinator to develop email campaigns to drive ecommerce goals
• Enter new wine club members into our database with complete and accurate information
• Prepare and send all new club members welcome communication
• Update customer information as requested
• Prepare newsletter in coordination with marketing, including tasting notes, recipes, special promotions and feature articles
• Assist with food and wine pairing suggestions to be included in club letter
• Assist with coordinating inserts/mailings/e-commerce as directed
• Respond to all phone calls, e-mail and voicemail messages in timely fashion
• Assist with club event planning and execution
• Prepare all pre-shipment e-mails and event invites according to calendar, including tracking of RSVP’s
• Make recommendations for wine selections in club shipments
• Monitor all Wine Club collateral materials used by all tasting rooms     
• Stage all will-call shipments for club       
• Track shipments as needed for all club and retail
• Monitor and stay within compliance laws,  reciprocal states, shipping requirements for all order fulfillment
• Sell wine clubs in Tasting Room or via phone
• Monitor and promote wine club member signups
• Direct interaction with all Tasting Room personnel in the area of training, shipping, wine club, etc.
• Provide wine club support to other locations as needed
• Assist with special projects and miscellaneous administrative duties as directed

Working Conditions:
• Regular working schedule to include weekends and holidays
• Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events
• Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases and retail supplies, setting up for special events)
• Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
• Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day) on occasion
• Carrying case(s) of wine to customer’s vehicle after purchase
• Washing wine glasses and dishes to keep a clean work environment
• Ability to lift at least 45 pounds (case of wine)

Qualifications:
•  Education:  Bachelor’s degree preferred
•  Experience:  Two  or more years’ experience in winery hospitality/events planning or related field
• Excellent verbal  and written communication skills
• Must have good organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision
• Enthusiasm for wine in general and Trinchero Family Estates and its products in particular
• Relaxed, friendly and professional demeanor in person and on the telephone
• Able to interact effectively with wide range of contacts, i.e. the public, co-workers and members of other departments
• Experience with MS Excel, Outlook, and POS systems (Vin65) a plus
• Strong math and analytical skills
