INVOER is a small New York-based importer. We curate a selection of unique and creative wines from around the world to provide comprehensive service for discerning retailers, restaurateurs, and hoteliers. We specialise in wines from the Simonsberg appellation in South Africa which has made some of the country's finest wine dating back to the late 17th century.
We started as a wholesaler in New York in 2011 and recently expanded to serve New Jersey. We are looking for a third salesperson to join our team of two New York-based salespeople to serve customers across a large geographic area.
This is the perfect job for someone with a flexible schedule looking to gain exposure in the luxury goods and wine industries and who is willing to do the hard work needed to establish new brands in the market. You will be responsible for presenting our small portfolio of wines to potential customers such as wine shops, restaurants, hotels, and bars and following up with sales leads to attract and retain customers and solicit orders. We are a small business and require everyone to commit to help make the company a success. You will need to:
- Schedule appointments and introduce our wines to potential customers
- Be persistent without being pushy
- Solicit orders and ensure that customers keep our wines in stock
- Keep diligent records of sales leads and customer activity
- Conduct wine tastings and other marketing activities to generate awareness
- Identify and organize partnerships, sponsorships and other marketing opportunities
- Analyze sales trends and customer preferences
SCHEDULE & SALARY
You will determine your own schedule and spend most of your time placing calls and visiting customers. Compensation will consist of a commission on sales and a base salary and will be commensurate with experience.
