Sales and Merchandising Position (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The Henry Wine Group is a leading distributor throughout the state of California of authentic, value to ultra-premium, domestic and imported wines.

At this time we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in a sales and merchandising position in the North Orange County area. Territory will include: Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Tustin, Yorba Linda, and La Habra.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

•  Building and maintaining buyer relationships
•  Maximize promotions, placements, and ads made at the chain level
•  Calling on assigned chain warehouse accounts, with the minimum expectation of weekly visits
•  Selling through warehouse placements by sampling, staff training, merchandising and point of sale information
•  Educate buyers about the wines in our portfolio
•  Perform Wine Department customer service
•  Attend and participate in regular sales/team meetings
•  Relay all territory information in weekly reports

Minimum Qualifications:

•  Must be a self-starter with strong goal orientation
•  Create good working relationships with internal company employees
•  Act with professionalism at all times
•  Resourcefulness, ability to think of new and unique ideas and ways to succeed
•  Demonstrate time management skills and discipline to complete the job effectively and efficiently
•  Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
•  Has ability to work with team members and contribute to the team
•  Creativity in marshaling resources and materials; uses tool that are available
•  Exhibits strong follow through skills; doing what he/she says will do
•  Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
•  Bachelor's Degree preferred
•  Some outside sales/customer service experience and basic wine knowledge recommended

Compensation:
Salary plus commission
