Tasting Room Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Raptor Ridge Winery is a 23-year-old, family-owned winery located near Newberg, OR in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. We are looking for an energetic, organized, and responsible person with a passion for customer service and wines of the Willamette Valley to join our team. The position is part time, 3-4 days per week, and requires mid-week availability. Opportunities for weekend work will occasionally be available. This position will involve both tasting room and back office responsibilities. This position will assist tasting room lead and DTC manager, and has opportunities for growth. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Greet guests and serve Raptor Ridge wines
- Describe wines, wine-making techniques, and winery history to guests
- Meet and exceed sales goals
- Promote the Raptor Ridge Wine Club
- Accurately enter transactions using Vin 65 POS software
- Work with Tasting Room Lead on administrative tasks and data entry
- Work with DTC Manager and Tasting Room Lead to drive sales and wine club signups
- Moving and stocking wine, including regularly moving wine up a flight of stairs! 
- Keeping cellar organized, and performing inventory counts as needed
- Assist with special events as needed

Job Requirements: 

- Winery / Tasting Room / Club Sales Experience
- Terrific in-person and on-phone rapport with guests 
- A good knowledge of Oregon wine and wine-making. Knowledge of European wines helpful.
- POS experience. Vin65 experience a BIG plus.
- OLCC Alcohol Servers permit.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk and remain energetic for a 6-8 hour shift
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly for stacking/moving wine cases & climb stairs
