Archer Vineyard is a small (8,000 cases), family-owned and operated winery in the Chehalem Mountain AVA. We are seeking a part-time Tasting Room & Hospitality Associate, with the potential for development into full-time. 

Our ideal candidate is positive, friendly, tidy, genuine and motivated. They are passionate about Oregon wine and the industry, as well as willing to learn every detail about our wines, our story, our customers and our vision for the future. This associate will fill a multi-faceted role, with varying yet defined responsibilities, mostly based out of the Tasting Room – the ability to multitask and flow is vital. 

They will seamlessly represent the Archer brand/vision and provide memorable customer experience to each and every guest. Connecting with the public in an authentic manner and to make a positive impact on their day are intrinsic abilities we seek in a candidate. 

Prior experience in the wine or service industry, a solid & comfortable understanding of wine, a willingness to learn, impressive communication abilities, and a passion for providing intelligent, personalized service are necessities for this position. 

The potential of this new position is endless, with an up & coming brand, 27-year-old vines, a highly-respected winemaker, and new state-of-the-art winery. Key Responsibilities

- Hospitality and food service experience necessary.
- Available to work all events
- Must have excellent sales and communication skills .
- Knowledge and passion for wines, wine and food pairing, wine club, and of wine production.
- Ability to be a team player in an environment that requires flexibility. 
- Organization, problem solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills required. 
- Must be capable of working independently.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft programs; Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word.
- Greet, serve and educate guests in a friendly, gracious manner with the highest level of hospitality.
- Effectively suggest and sell wine and wine club memberships to guests.
- Assist with packing all shipping generated from Tasting Room sales and other winery activities.
- Stock Tasting Room with wine, supplies (glasses, bags, etc.) daily.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Requirments

- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong ability to work with/learn sales register and POS system (Vin65)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for multiple hours at a time
- Flexible schedule
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
-OLCC server permit and food server permit. 

Pay

- The position is hourly and rate will be determined by qualifications
