Sales Representative (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Seeking a full time Sales Representative, Margaret River Imports, headquartered in NYC, is an importer and wholesaler representing an Australian wine portfolio. The Sales Representative will be responsible for direct wine sales in Manhattan, and wholesales through distributors in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Washington DC. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the list below.

Responsibilities

-          Maximize sales through effective territory planning strategies including onsite and telephonic sales calls to direct sales establishments in Manhattan.

-          Maintain relationships with clients and distributors, as well as establish new accounts and distribution relationships in approved markets.

-          Research and analyze territory market trends to support pricing and marketing strategy recommendations.

-          Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of sales and inventory; prepare billing invoices and assist in collection of all accounts.

-          Liaise between New York and Australia for label production.

-          Prepare professional sales presentations and promotional materials tailored to the needs of each direct sales account.

-          Coordinate advertising and promotional activities and events.

-          Monitor license expirations and prepare licensing applications.

-          Maintain and update U.S. website.

-          Acquire and demonstrate wine knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications

-          Must be at least 21 years of age.

-          Proven experience in related role.  Experience in sales of wine and/or spirits (retail, restaurant, and/or wholesale) preferred.

-          College preferred.

-          Ability to lift 30lbs.

-          CRM (customer relationship management software) experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

-          Possess superb verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.

-          Effective self-management skills, specifically time management and business/territory planning; the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
