Job Responsibilities:
• Manage all wine and spirit sales in the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, California, Washington, Oregon) in association with designated wholesalers
• Make direct sales calls on key accounts
• Work closely with the applicable distributor sales representatives
• Create target account list
• Present new wines to distributors
• Use distributor websites and available reports to track sales, inventory, and progress
• Use DSWS Software and DIVER systems to track sales, inventory, and progress
Manage DSWS brands:
• Direct product placements and image of producers
• Organize supplier work-withs
• Plan work-with schedules for producers visiting in the territory; make associated arrangements for presentations and events with distributors, trade customers, and consumers.
• Develop programs to build brands and marketing strategies
• Build DSWS brand awareness throughout Pacific Northwest Market
• Provide frequent presentations to the distributor’s sales teams in general meetings individual team meetings, and manager meetings
• Plan and present events in territory
• Plan and present in-store tastings or consumer educational seminars
Business, communication, and organization:

Submit and maintain price change forms to ensure current listings are up to date at distributors

Ensures that the distribution goals of DSWS brands are met or exceeded thus meeting the business objectives of the company.

Call on key accounts with (and without) distributors’ sales personnel to expand distribution and develop new sales opportunities.

Collaborate with distributor’s sales and management personnel in developing highly effective market-level sales and marketing plans in all distributor channels.

Conduct regular meetings, reviews and training sessions with distributors’ personnel to ensure the proper execution of marketing strategies, as well as their achievement of performance objectives.

Check inventory of products at distributors on a monthly basis including rotation and new products.

Provide consistent reports of progress in the territory

Provide status reports upon request

Communicate regularly with Management

Oversee collections from distributors when necessary

Provide weekly activity reports
Job Requirements:
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or commensurate experience
• Must have a minimum of 3 years distributor management experience on the supplier side within the wine and spirits industry
• Must have 2 years of experience in distribution within the wine and spirits industry
• Must bring industry relationships from multiple sales channels: independent on/off premise, strategic/regional retail, and national accounts
• Requires a proven ability to motivate distributor management and sales teams
• Requires a goal-oriented Sales Professional with knowledge of programming and pricing in the Pacific Northwest markets
