NORTHEAST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
The Northeast Regional Sales Manager will maintain an in-depth and thorough knowledge of the marketplace and market conditions and will develop and implement strategies to assure an increase in market share and sales. He/she will work very closely alongside distributors to properly manage their performance across all channels of sales. He/she will drive the wholesale business and ensure distributors’ execution of goals. The role requires an individual who wishes to maintain personal involvement and relationships with key accounts by calling on the most influential customers (on-premise and retail) in the market and will present the Round Pond wines with enthusiasm, refinement and finesse in a manner that reinforces its marketing message. States include but not limited to: NY, NJ, PA, CT, DC, MD, DE, VA, WV, MA, VT, NH & ME. Resides, preferably, in or close to New York. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
•  Achieve Round Pond annual Regional shipment and depletion goals and meet or exceed the Region’s gross margin budget
•  Establish quantitative, qualitative and financial goals for each market 
•  In consultation with management, develop, implement and manage a northeast divisional sales plan, forecast and campaigns 
•  Ensure that Round Pond is top of mind within the distributor selling organization
•  Develop strong relationships with distributors, maintain consistent dialogue and closely manage distributor performance versus plan including placements, depletions, stock levels and sales focus
•  Cultivate, increase, and enhance relevant on-premise accounts through frequent dialogue, monitoring and formal business reviews with distributors
•  Maintain and foster upper-management relationships with distributors
•  Directly develop and present the wines with distributor representatives and alone, focusing on high-profile, on-premise accounts in key markets
•  Proactively work towards realizing company goal to achieve 70% on-premise ratio for its wholesale business 
•  Make calls on key divisional accounts
•  Monitor sales reporting process; analyze data, budgets and forecasts to ensure timely and accurate information is available for management decision-making
•  Participate in market campaigns where and when needed
•  Work collaboratively with management to provide feedback on wine styles, packaging, competitive winery and general market trends

NORTHEAST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – Experience & Education Requirements
•  A minimum 10 years experience in wine sales with a minimum of three years in selling fine wines in the Eastern region part of the United States.
•  Documented success of consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals and objectives with proven success selling luxury brands; strong luxury wine marketing knowledge a plus
•  Solid understanding of all sales channels within the wine industry
•  Strong on-premise focus with established relationships with key on-premise accounts
•  Understands wholesale dynamics and properly manages distributor performance across all channels of sales
•  Demonstrated excellence in the management of distributors in the Northeastern states:
•  Proven negotiation and relationship building skills with a track record of success in creating deeply leveraged relationships and establishing new relationships
•  Proven experience and abilities in educating and motivating buyers to successful completion of sales
•  Entrepreneurial, can manage business without intricate corporate infrastructure
•  Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills and experience with PowerPoint type group presentations to various audiences
•  Strategic planning abilities and experience with attention to financial budgeting and financial management
•  Ability to maintain a travel schedule of 40% and some weekends/evenings as necessary
•  Strong computer skills and comfort with wine sales and inventory management systems. Strong PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•  Valid driver’s license; physical ability to accomplish travel by car and plane; ability to sit and operate computer; ability to lift 40 lbs
•  Bachelors Degree in Business, with an emphasis in Sales or Marketing preferable
