Director, Sales Operations & Planning (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Individual:

  • Works closely with the Region Managers to create tools and implement sales strategy to the grow the markets
  • Oversees KPI management and reporting across the divisions (e.g., briefcase reporting, tracking)
  • Supports Region Managers with operational and financial functions of the distributor overlay and dedicated sales team
  • Works with the RTM team to implement assigned projects in selected markets
  • Works with the RTM team on special projects with our distributor partners (e.g., contract renegotiation, etc.)
  • Ensures compliance with Ways of Working (WOW) across dedicated distributor sales teams and PRUSA
  • Creates clear channel strategy to be deployed across the divisions
  • Leads innovation readiness efforts (e.g., innovation forecasting, ensuring sufficient resources for launch)
  • Develops sales processes within the division; deploy best practices and sales tools sourced from corporate and/or other divisions
  • Upholds corporate sales strategies
  • Communicates and hold teams accountable for brand standards
  • Ensures program execution e.g. incentives
  • Leads annual survey coordination to maximize results
  • Trains and coach distributor resources on brand standards
  • Shared:
  • Collaborates with Division Finance Director, Market Activation Director and Region Managers to monitor and execute on the new PR USA structure and roles (including right resourcing levels)
  • Works with distributor General Sales Managers or State Managers/Sales Directors to continuously monitor & improve distributor overlay and dedicated structure and roles & ensure compliance
  • Works with DFD/MAD to ensure smooth AOP process/timeline and execution

Financial Targets:

  • Divisional Net Net Sales targets

Organizational Context

  • Direct line report to Division General Manager
  • Works closely with Region Managers, Division Finance Director and Market Activation Director to execute and deliver the Division Goals
  • Works closely with RMs to implement strong sales strategy
  • Works closely with distributor GSMs/SMs in division to train and ensure compliance with sales strategy
  • Collaborate with Director of RTM Compliance on all project implementation

Travel: 50% of time

Key requirements:

  • Education: Requires Bachelor’s degree and additional training in sales force effectiveness and sales and local marketing strategies; MBA a plus
  • Experience / Background: Typically requires 7-10 years of previous sales management experience in the wine and spirit industry
