The Brand Activation Manager will play a critical role on the Jameson and Altos headquarters marketing team as the bridge between strategic planning and in market execution. As a key representative of both brands, this individual must be a highly skilled communicator with the business acumen to collaborate with and influence various cross functional stakeholders (i.e. PRUSA Sales, Field Activation, Chains Division, Brand Marketing, Finance, upper level Sales and Marketing management, Operations and Support Agencies). He/she will be a skilled people manager with a track record of leading teams that deliver measurable results. The role requires a deep understanding of the U.S. on-premise & off-premise universe and dynamics, as well as broad knowledge of Adult Beverage brand activations in those channels.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Effectively lead and manage team to deliver against clearly defined business objectives
  • Develop sub channel-specific programs, in close collaboration with Brand Marketing team, in line with each brand’s strategy and objectives. Brief and manage creative agency to design/adapt all necessary "Below the Line" brand assets
  • Manage the Jameson Caskmates Drinking Buddies program which involves 17 craft brewery partnerships throughout the US. Primary responsibilities will include the following:
  • Collaborating with the field marketing teams on developing a market specific plan
  • Developing and deploying custom on and off premise tools
  • Managing trade events and bartender advocacy
  • Developing and deploying plans specific to the launch of Caskmates IPA alongside brewery partners
  • Identifying best practices and sharing out across all participating markets
  • Building and managing a master tracker for all related drinking buddies commercial and marketing activations
  • Play a key role in executing the national launch of Jameson Caskmates IPA. Ensure there is a clear plan to drive trade engagement and strong L3F presence throughout the entire launch window
  • Develop Altos On Premise strategy and activation plan inclusive of Cinco de Mayo focused national programming
  • Produce and communicate activation playbooks, priority calendars and selling tools, specific to each channel/sub-channel. Provide support and guidance to the sales teams for the execution of those programs, through a regular communication flow
  • Ensure upfront alignment with sales teams, by integrating their feedback and needs early in the process, through regular communication and also direct in-market field observation
  • Analyze performance of priority programs and initiatives and derive learnings, in collaboration with Brand Marketing and sales teams
  • Analyze competitors’ activations in collaboration with sales teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience, minimum 2 years U.S. Adult Beverage experience. Trade Marketing, Marketing or Sales experience required.
  • People management experience (at least 2 years preferred)
  • Must have a track record of successfully building and executing consumer facing marketing programs tailored to the On Premise
  • Promotional / creative agency management experience
  • Experience in project management and ability to work within a cross-functional team of diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; particularly skillful in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Event and/or experiential marketing a plus
  • This position may travel up to 50% of the time (depending on time of year).
