City Winery NEW YORK is looking for a full-time assistant winemaker to assist CW Chief winemaker David Lecomte.
This is a long-term position to fulfill by end Jan / early Feb 2017, however, starting date can be postponed to March 2017 if the perfect candidate is not available right away.

The assistant winemaker will be in charge of all daily/weekly winemaking aspects with the support of one part-time cellar crew during non-harvest and 1-2 extra cellar interns during harvest.

This person will also be in charge to host and interact with all "barrel members" and will be responsible for all report and tracking concerning CW wines (702, bulk and cases inventory, TTB COLA approval, lab analysis and wine movement tracking..) 

This position required a minimum of 5-7 years of strong winemaking background from high-end wineries, lab experience is a plus. 

Candidate must be able to work extended hours, including most weekends during harvest time (3 months long!), and to perform strenuous physical tasks, such as climbing, bending, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
