Wine for the World is seeking motivated and energetic Sales Representatives in New York and New Jersey to join our team.
About us:
Wine for the World is a new wine importer that sells artisanal wines from up-and-coming wine regions. Our aim is to provide exposure for producers who meet our criteria of quality, responsible social and environmental business practices, and micro US market share. In addition to our import portfolio, we bring together winemakers from the US and emerging wine markets to collaborate on our flagship product– making the wine world smaller and inspiring consumers to discover something new.
We are a young, licensed import company and just started to bring our highly selective, growing portfolio of wines to market. We are seeking one additional sale representative to continue growing accounts for us in NY, and one sales representative to break ground in NJ. Beyond your average sales position, we are looking for the right candidates to join our new venture and become key members of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Implement sales strategy, lead generation and account management for on-premise and off-premise accounts.
- In the field at least 4 days a week, and scheduling appointments when not on the road.
- Weekly reporting of sales activity and buyer feedback.
- Conduct consumer tastings, as needed.
- Contribute as a key team member to our brand, company, and vision.
Requirements:
- Energetic attitude, passion, and laser focus.
- Proven track record in sales. Preferably 2-5 years previous experience in wine sales at either the wholesale or retail level.
- Familiarity with the market and existing relationships in New York or New Jersey required.
- Proficient knowledge of the major wine producing regions of the world.
- Goal-oriented, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility. We’re a startup, so you need to be able to build, run, and adapt.
