Small, privately owned, NY-based wine importer-distributor looking for an independent contractor to build sales of Greek wines in New York City. Hours are flexible as pay is commission based -- there is uncapped potential for sales and professional development.

Contractor will largely work independently selling and marketing wines to an existing customer base, opening targeted accounts, and seeking out new accounts.  This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded person who loves the thrill of making the sale and helping to build a business.

Contractor will supply necessary travel, with reasonable expense support provided.

The ideal candidate will:

-      Either be knowledgeable/experienced in Greece and/or Greek wine, OR be willing to learn

-      3-5 years experience of wholesale wine sales

-      Possess basic knowledge of how wine is made -- you need not be an expert

-      Be highly personable, showing the ability to build and maintain successful business relationships

-      Be willing to learn independently as well as receive training to help carry out tasks effectively

-      Be highly motivated, goal-oriented and proven self-starter

-      Be able to demonstrate professionalism and integrity

-      Be motivated to sell.

 

Overlapping sales of other wine and/or spirits is ok.
