WINE STORE MANAGER (SoHo)

 

Despaña Vinos y Más, a boutique retail business specializing in wines & spirits from Spain, is looking for a Store Manager. This candidate will be responsible for servicing clients within a small retail store environment in addition to providing an entrepreneurial atmosphere to achieve productive shop goals.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Manage day to day operations including increasing sales, execution of sales programs, and wine ordering
•  Interacting with clients, winemakers, wine distributors and tasting wines for shop selections
• Providing a strong leadership presence, and ensuring that all customers receive excellent service; as well as quickly responding to customer inquiries and needs
• Plans, coordinate and execute all merchandise calendar direction, campaigns, and sales promotions promptly
• Train team members and providing all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times
• Attracts customers by originating display ideas; suggestions or schedules; constructing or assembling prefabricated display properties; producing merchandise displays in windows and showcases and on the sales floor.
• Promotes sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers.
• Maintains inventory by checking merchandise to determine inventory levels, anticipating customer demand.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years experience in retail store management
• Must be an excellent organizer and problem solver with strong project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to both internal and external customers
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus
• Spanish food knowledge a plus
• Proficient in Posim, LightSpeed, Microsoft Excel, Word, Numbers & Pages (Apple Operating System)

 

Salary:

 

• Compensation: Salary (based on experience)
• Hours: Minimum 45hrs/week; weekend day required
