BLUE MOUNTAIN VINEYARDS is Now Hiring Part-Time Retail Sales Associates at our Tasting Room locations in the Lehigh Valley Mall and Reading Terminal Market! We are also hiring at our main Tasting Room in New Tripoli! Knowledge and/or appreciation of wine is preferred but not required. 21 and older only.
The primary focus of this Associate is to share Blue Mountain Vineyards wine, knowledge and history with guests at our winery. This involves quickly absorbing a great deal of information and being able to relevantly relate it to each guest. Retail Sales Associates are responsible for creating a positive experience for every guest they encounter. Teamwork, a sense of humor, a strong work ethic and a true enjoyment of both wine and people are vital for success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include, but are not limited to:
Working weekdays, weekends, and special events as needed.
Providing the first line of information to the customer by greeting, directing and answering questions regarding our wines, merchandise, history, and facility.
Serving samples of wine, along with appropriate information concerning the wines, to customers in both individual and group settings.
Leading by example
Ensuring wines are adequately stocked in the Retail Area.
Stocking and pricing merchandise.
Handling routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers and accounting for daily sales.
Serving and attending to guests during Blue Mountain Vineyards sponsored events, on and off-site.
Attending scheduled trainings.
Completing duties from opening and closing checklists.
Expanding wine education and knowledge.
Finding work to do during slow times.
Additional duties and projects as assigned.
