New England Divisional Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

POSITION SUMMARY: Advocates on behalf of, and extends the good will of the winery to distributors, accounts, and consumers in the New England Territory (MA, NH, RI, VT, ME). Grow the brand as directed, respecting the need to balance channels of distribution, with profitability, and the best interests of the winery in mind.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALES
•  Sales rep ride-withs at a frequency reasonable for the market

•  Key Account calls 2-3 times per year

•  Coordinate with Chain Manager East 

•  Identify and execute against key target accounts

PROMOTIONAL
•  Capturing mindshare through sales meetings and team meetings at a level consistent with needs and opportunity.

•  Educating sales staff about Bogle Vineyards

•  Sales Promotions/Incentives as necessary to achieve winery goals, quantitative and qualitative - proposed and approved in writing. Post program analysis in writing. Execute major national programs as directed by National Sales Manager

ADMINISTRATIVE
•  Maintain distributor pricing on file at winery

•  Monthly written summary of significant events, projects, placements etc. Including sales activity by channel, distributor personnel changes, and competitive activity

•  Annual Nat’l sales meeting, mid-year meeting

•  Familiarity with regulations in states of responsibility 

DISTRIBUTOR MANAGEMENT
•  Quarterly business review with management, in writing

•  Assign, monitor, and ensure sales goals are met

•  Ensure appropriate mix of distribution channels, and product mix

•  Ensure appropriate pricing levels and efficient use of depletion $

•  To be “known” throughout the distributor organization

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Bachelor’s degree
•  Minimum 5 years wine sales experience. 
•  Exemplary communication and presentation skills
•  Goal oriented while maintaining excellent relationships with our business partners
•  Ability to work in a dynamic environment
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
•  Familiarity with TradePulse a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
Must be able to lift and carry at least 55 pounds frequently. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work on a computer and utilize office equipment for long periods of time.
Travel requirements: Must be able to travel away from home for as much as 50% of the time. Must have valid driver’s license, and be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
