We are looking for a professional, dedicated, passionate employee to join our team full time as a Wine Associate. Only reliable, driven, high-energy people with previous ‘real world’, restaurant and/or retail experience need apply. Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, professional attitude, good communication skills, as well as a willingness to perform all tasks required for the position (including the heavy lifting and more facile tasks of keeping the store well-stocked). They will also be detail-oriented, yet creative thinkers. Having an ability to confidently offer recommendations or pairing suggestions while answering any questions about products or our services is key. We take pride in helping our customers!
All applicants must have FULL shift availability (days, nights, Saturdays, and holidays).
Mandatory position/experience requirements include:
- 1-3 years experience working in hospitality/restaurant/retail sales;
- Working to extensive knowledge of wine;
- Ability to engage with customers in a down-to-earth, approachable, knowledgeable manner;
- Experience with point-of-sale software and management programs, etc.;
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs; and
- Regular, efficient stocking of inventory.
Candidates with consecutive work experience in the industry and strong referrals will be considered first. Familiarity with Needham community is a plus.
