We are looking for a professional, dedicated, and passionate full-time Sales Associate to join our team! Our shop is always busy and we work very hard, so thriving in a fast-paced environment is essential. Our staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the products we sell. Please only reliable, driven, high-energy people with previous hospitality, restaurant, and/or retail experience need apply. Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, professional attitude, good communication skills, as well as a willingness to perform all tasks required for the position (including some heavy lifting). They will also be detail-oriented and creative thinkers. All applicants must have full shift availability (days, nights, weekends, and holidays ).
Mandatory position/experience requirements include:
- 1+ years experience working in hospitality/restaurant/retail sales
- Working to extensive knowledge of wine/spirits/craft beer - we're not looking for an expert, just someone with basic knowledge and a willingness to learn
- Ability to engage with customers in a down-to-earth, approachable manner
- Experience with point-of-sale software and management programs, etc.
- Ability to multitask efficiently, and without losing focus
- Ability to lift 40plus lbs
- Ability to organize and stock wine inventory
Other:
This position is best suited for someone with 'real world' experience who may be a relative new-comer to the industry, but who has energy and ambition and is looking for an opportunity in the fine wine business where he/she can make an immediate impact. Candidates with consecutive work experience in the industry and strong referrals will be considered first. Familiarity with the Needham/Metro West community is a plus.
