Position Summary:
The Trade Marketing Manager supports the national brand marketing team in meeting the diverse needs of the national accounts sales team with a primary focus on enhancing and growing the top ten customers on key priority brands. This position will work cross-functionally with the VP of National Accounts and the Director of Marketing Services to develop clear objectives and execution strategies for national brands that may be regional and or account specific. They will serve as the primary point of contact within Marketing for the National Accounts sales team. This position will work with internal and external creative agencies to develop materials and pitch new ideas to grow business and enhance brand equity. 

Duties/Essential Duties:
• Understands, communicates, and shares Company vision throughout division/organization and provides cross-functional perspective, direction, and support.
• Drives Company focus, manages culture, encourages strong work ethic, and fosters an environment of trust and respect.
• Develops trade marketing performance plans in alignment with Company goals and objectives; communicates clearly defined objectives.
• Oversees outside agencies to develop creative output and pitches.
• Communicates and supports Company policies and decisions in a positive manner.
• Develops staffing needs, selects new employees, makes recommendations in job evaluation and compensation, and recommends termination actions.
• Presents and pitches relevant marketing programs with clients and supports meetings and follow up on the selected key trade initiatives.
• Monitors adherence to spend with in project budgets as set by National Accounts and/or Brand budgets.
• Develop trade marketing programs-utilizing National Brand umbrella and tailor for national account specific business needs.
• Foster a cohesive, professional and collaborative relation with Brand Marketing and National Accounts team with prompt follow up on daily requests.
• Secure marketing partnerships-single or small market opportunities-focus on key accounts.
• Lead tactical execution of national account specific trade programs.
• Craft sub-channel specific presentation for key National Account customers, interacting with key customer marketing teams for specialized programming.
• Provide monthly communication and updates on new and ongoing programs as part of the Monthly National Accounts team meetings and Marketing meetings.
• Maintain tracking against National Accounts trade marketing budgets.
• Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from key stakeholders on promotional materials and platforms and overall communications.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Delicato Family Vineyards brands.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the key national account opportunities and understand their business needs in order to coordinate and tune national programs to greater success on a targeted basis.
• Collaborate with National Account analyst to incorporate key fact based insights in decks and communication pieces.
• Work with insights driven by national account analysts to deliver against account and brand objectives with creative and meaningful brand programs.
• Demo / tasting scheduling and contracts for national chain activation.
• Coordination for National Account Focused events-Aspen, Cheers, etc.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelors in marketing or related field experience.

Experience:
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in marketing and/or sales.
• Proven experience with different types of brand building activities: point of sale items, events, programs and gaining retailer share of mind.
• Strong project management, analysis and reporting skills.
• Strong vendor relationships and ability to communicate and direct creative concepts.
• Experience and understanding of working with 3-tier wine distribution system.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and work in a deadline-driven environment with high expectations and standards.
• Experience sourcing and managing external vendors and agencies.
• Wine industry experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge:
• Possess financial aptitude, with a focus on cost/benefit analysis.
• Understanding of key retailer/chain environment.
• Understanding of budget tracking metrics and ability to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
• Team player and self-starter who can work independently and creatively within the department and cross-functionally within the organization.
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals.
• Strong written, verbal, and large group presentation skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and take initiative.
• A passion for wine and the industry.
• Comfortable presenting to groups and speaking in public.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Diver a plus.
