Production Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are looking for a motivated individual who is excited about a new arena of the wine industry. At this fast paced company you will be performing many tasks (some of which are outlined below). A successful candidate must be able to multi-task, work efficiently, communicate clearly, have a high degree of attention to detail and enjoy working with a small team. You will be based at our Napa production facility. This position reports to our Director of Operations. Some overtime hours are required based on workflow and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

 Taking direction from Director of Operations, implement cellar strategy and run all cellar operations with a focus on attention to detail and QC/QA for clients’ wines.

 Work with Operations/Logistics Manager to schedule monthly work load and kegging schedule

 Oversee kegging, implementing protocols and ensuring quality controls

 Oversee operation and repair of all facility related and cellar equipment including, but not limited to, kegging equipment, forklift, pumps, filters, chillers, and wastewater system.

 Daily forklift operation

 Establish and follow protocols and SOPs

 Maintain an organized cellar with impeccable sanitation

 Have strong organization, people, planning, leadership and problem solving skills

 Positive Team player will excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels

 Ability to understand and communicate in English

Qualifications:

 At least 8-10+ years of cellar experience in a high paced production facility.

 Experience managing a medium to large crew with multiple shifts.  Lab experience is a plus

 Ability to operate various types of equipment/machinery including, but not limited to, forklifts, pumps, filters, and pallet jacks

 Ability to work independently and responsibly as well as communicate needs when instruction is required

 Strong organization, communication, leadership and problem solving skills

 Very good attention to detail and math skills

 Be a team player with a good attitude and strong work ethic

 Ability to work long hours, including weekends

 Ability to perform physical tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, climbing for long periods, and to lift and carry 60 lbs.

 General mechanical aptitude and experience is a plus

 Computer literacy is a plus including knowledge of MS Office
