Delicato Family Vineyards has an exciting immediate career opportunity for a General Line Technician in our Napa, CA facility.

Position Purpose:

Under general supervision, responsible for performing all glass line tasks in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.  Work rotation may include glass loading station, glass dumping station, hand-packing station, or material handling. In addition, miscellaneous rework tasks for all the bottling lines.

Essential Duties:

  • Diligently follows safety, GMP, and ISO procedures and policies to safeguard personal and team member’s safety, wine quality and company property
  • Place cases of glass bottles (empty or filled) onto packware conveyor
  • Place cases of glass bottles onto the glass dump conveyor
  • Hand cases various bottle sizes of wine at the current line speeds throughout the shift
  • Hand stacks cases of wine onto pallet and keeps up with the speed of the line throughout the shift
  • Performs product rework (bottles, cases, etc.) to company specification
  • Safely transports materials and finished wine on pallets utilizing a pallet jack and/or forklift to a shrink wrapper and then to a pick-up location or storage rack throughout the shift
  • Participates in bottling line change-over activities
  • Performs duties in other areas of the production line as requested by the Bottling Manager
  • Adheres to all quality control specifications
  • Follows the Delicato Operation Excellence (DOE) culture by participating in continuous improvement activities

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Uses downtime productively to clean-up or assist other team members
  • Performs other general tasks commensurate with skill level, as assigned by the Bottling Manager
  • Supports other departments; Quality, Material Handling, Cellar, Mainteance, Black Stallion Estate Winery, and may be reassigned to alternate departments based on business needs 

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience and familiarity with production line principles is desirable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proper lifting technique, Safety principles and GMPs is a plus and must be able to work any shift

Physical Requirements:  

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting and occasional sitting and climbing.  Will also need to reach above the shoulders, below the shoulders and be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
  • High percentage of time spent on the production floor exposed to varying levels of equipment noise and temperature fluctuation based on the seasons
