Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Financial Planning Manager, the Financial Planning Analyst will provide analytical and systems administration support to the Finance team and Senior Management.  This role will also support the planning and forecasting activities of the company.  The Financial Planning Analyst function as a whole also serves to communicate strategic direction in order to help ensure alignment of operational goals therefore this role is expected to be able to interpret and communicate direction between all levels of the company.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepares consolidated performance reporting and corporate level management business review (MBR) on a periodic basis (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually). 
  • Supports the creation and standardization of reporting at the various entity levels; drives reporting innovation based on management’s needs.
  • Analyzes the company’s financial performance; trends and analysis.
  • Creates analysis and forecasting models (including but not limited to sales performance, operational spend and treasury management).
  • Analyzes whether business unit planning and performance is in line with strategic direction.
  • Helps facilitate the annual planning cycle through tracking of process milestones and planning tool support.
  • Serves as an administrator of BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation), the company’s finance-owned planning, reporting and analysis tool.
  • As BPC administrator, will maintain system master data and ensure that master data structure is aligned with SAP-ECC (system of record) as well as overall company management needs.
  • Supports month-end process through report and system data validation and reconciliation.
  • Drives and facilitates continuous improvement within the Finance Planning Analysis team and helps identify process improvement opportunities in other areas of the company.
  • Acts as an available intellectual resource for various members of the business; freely brainstorms and contributes ideas.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional network.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, strong finance and accounting background a plus.

 Experience:

  • At least one year of direct experience in finance and/or accounting.  Familiarity with wine and/or spirits industry three tier distribution system is a plus but not required. Expert computer skills are required; strength in Excel, OLAP, multi-dimensional tables, with ability to report and graph complex information.

 Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills. Analytical skills and proven problem-solving ability.  Aptitude for software programs and computer systems, including financial systems and data management.
  • Strong presentation skills; Ability to communicate complex ideas with other team members and Senior Management.
