We have a full-time opportunity available for a versatile, detail oriented Accounting Assistant. This position is best suited for someone seeking a small, casual office environment and is a self-starter. On premise work is performed Monday through Friday, 32-40 hours per week. Position reports to the accounting manager and works with the accounting analyst and order processors. Great opportunity with flexibility for this flex-time position. This position is not open to remote work.

Duties:
•  Responsible for managing Accounts Receivable for two companies in an efficient and timely manner
•  Prepares and processes all bank deposits. We use an RDS for deposits
•  Reconciles AR between multiple software programs
•  Prepares financial reports for accounting manager
•  Responsible for follow-up on delinquent accounts. Proactive in communicating with customers about payments and resolving disputed invoices
•  Assists Accounting Manager in Accounts Payable
•  Assists Accounting Analyst as needed
•  Reconciles and provides documentation in Excel for AR accounts
•  Maintains Direct Import AR in Excel and communicates with distributors about wires
•  Work as a liaison between Dalla Terra and our Italian wine producers’ accounting departments
•  Assists in other accounting and administrative duties as required

Qualifications:
•  Responsible, dependable, takes ownership of position
•  Must be proficient in QuickBooks and especially in Excel
•  Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
•  HS Diploma required. AA/BA in Business with emphasis in Accounting preferred 
•  Minimum of three years’ practical office and accounting specific experience
•  Familiarity with ERP software preferred
•  Ability to work with all types of personalities within the organization
•  Must be a good problem solver, highly accurate, and be detail oriented 
•  Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
•  Must desire working with a small staff four in our Napa office
•  Must enjoy using multiple software programs with unique accounting challenges
