ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include, but not limited to:
Sales, marketing & support to your current customer base
Ability to follow-up on your assigned tasks
Growth & development of your assigned territory by determining focus areas within your territory, scheduling
presentations & utilizing stop-by techniques
Sell beer in accordance with business plan
Maintain list of key & target accounts
Educate all distributor personnel, accounts & other contacts about St. Florian’s Brewery products & our story via
regular sales presentations, riding with distributor personnel & communicating with staff
Coordinate, attend & execute promotional events & festivals with management support, such as samplings, beer
pairing dinners, regional beer fests, etc.
Maintain accurate records, including management of St. Florian’s Brewery sales database
Self-educate about St. Florian’s Brewery products, craft beer, & our industry, in general
Build strong partnerships with distributor personnel to establish, maintain, nurture & grow relationships with allaccounts
Use creativity to devise marketing campaigns, merchandising/POS, & such projects to support your sales goals
Ensure stock rotation at all accounts
Thoroughly disperse communications about limited, seasonal &/or new releases, properly educating about product;including allocation & presale of limited releases
Meet or exceed your MBOs by providing input to CEO prior to beginning of each sales period to ensure alignment& accountability of both mutual goals & day-to-day performance expectations
Perform other duties, as you see fit & as determined by management
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Bachelors degree in business, or a related discipline; or, an equivalent combination of education & experience in a
beverage distribution sales environment, or associated industry experience
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in beverage distribution sales, with proven abilities to build a territory, or
associated industry experience
Valid California Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record (proof required)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proven sales results
Knowledge of & passion for our craft beer industry & the marketplace
Thorough comprehension of State of California ABC law
Must have willingness to travel & work a flexible schedule (including evening &/or weekend hours: this is not a
Monday-through-Friday, 8am-to-5pm position)
MS Office proficiency, including Excel
Strong organization, problem-solving & analytical skills to manage priorities & workflow, as well as make sound,
timely judgments
Enthusiastic demeanor & willingness to “go with the flow” in a constantly changing work environment
Quick learner who exhibits high levels of energy & self-motivation, while exhibiting a social, magnetic personality
Work to high quality standards, paying attention to detail, with & without direct supervision, & be driven by success
Ability to multi-task when environment is fast-paced & take initiative when not given directives
Clear verbal & written communication skills, including presentation skills
Outgoing personality with a desire to be a critical element of our brewery family & to get along with others
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle, or feel & lift heavy equipment, as follows, but
not limited to: the ability to move ½ BBL kegs
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools & computer equipment
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time

COMPENSATION:
Commission-based position, plus MBO-based compensation plan (MBO: Management-by-Objectives, performance incentives)
