Regal Wine Imports is an importer and wholesale distributor of fine wines and craft beers based in Moorestown, New Jersey. As we continue to grow, we have created a new manager-level position –NJ Sales Manager– responsible for planning, organizing and directing sales activities to maximize sales and profits for the company. Description:
•  Manages a team of sales reps and is responsible for achieving sales goals within the territory.
•  Establishes and implements sales goals, quotas and programs to achieve distribution, sales and profit goals of the company.
•  Establishes, develops and monitors internal sales force organization.
•  Develops implements and analyzes sales programs, and makes necessary adjustments as required.
•  Reviews the general business climate and adjusts staffing and account coverage as needed.
•  Applies knowledge of company products and services to assist sales force.
•  Works closely with management team, sales team and suppliers including attending meetings, tastings, and trade events and participating in wine education seminars.
•  Works in the field 2-4 days a week to assist sales force and call on key accounts.
•  Reviews and resolves customer complaints in a professional and timely manner as directed and/or required.
•  Performs weekly administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.
•  Monitors daily activity of sales team to ensure dollar and supplier goals are achieved.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
•  Develops and maintains an effective sales department through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, and evaluation of team (currently about 8-10 direct reports).
•  Provides guidance and direction to sales personnel to assist them in their professional development. 
•  Trains, evaluates and works closely with sales force to mentor, coach and motivate them to reach their full selling potential.
•  Conducts sales meetings and training seminars for sales force.

Qualifications:
•  At least five years in wine sales, including a track record of success in managing a team of sales reps
•  Completion of the WSET Advanced Course, Beer Sommelier/Cicerone and/or similar programs is preferred
•  Knowledge of selling environment in New Jersey and strong relationships with key accounts is preferred.
•  To be successful in this role, you must be a highly organized team player with a background in the wine/beer industry and extensive knowledge of wine/beer products 
•  You must have excellent time management skills combined with the ability to work autonomously 
•  The ability to conceptualize at the 40,000-foot level and execute at the ground-level is critical
•  Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
•  Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
•  Advanced proficiency in MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Diver is preferred
•  Excellent attention to detail and the ability to successfully multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere, while understanding big-picture objectives and strategy
•  Must be flexible and easily adapt to change as business priorities shift
•  Positive attitude and a passion for the wine and beer industry
•  Knowledge and familiarity with Regal Wine’s portfolio is preferred
•  Must embrace and demonstrate Regal Wine Core Values
