Delicato Family Vineyards has an immediate career opportunity for a Skilled Materials Handler in our Manteca Distribution Center.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties in material areas such as receiving, storing and issuing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Generates ideas and takes initiative to maintain work area in a professional and organized manner.
Duties/Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains production warehouse in a neat and orderly manner
- Maintains accurate inventory by isle and bay location
- Receives all materials and checks against documentation for completeness, identification, and quantity
- Sorts, counts, and checks received goods, raw materials, and parts
- Stores articles in proper location according to identifying factors
- Pulls items, fills orders, and issues materials, supplies, and parts from stock
- Prepares stock kits for production departments and verifies counts or documents the shortage in advance of production
- Returns materials from production to inventory and counts daily
- Provides work leadership to others
- Audits contents of kits and stock
- Inventories non-stock items and initiates reorders when minimum quantities are reached
- Reviews status of shortages, back order files, and inventory
- Interfaces with other functional areas such as purchasing, warehouse, production control, and other departments in order to coordinate shortages or expedite stock problems
- Researches part numbers
- Maintains necessary files and documentation
Equipment and Materials Utilized:
Type:
- Small hand tools, proportional scales, and operates material handling equipment including forklifts, skids, pallet handlers, and hand trucks
Position Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid California driver’s license
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years previous warehouse and forklift experience, preferably in a winery setting
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of wines and warehouse procedures
- Ability to operate forklifts, squeeze lift, and stretch wrapper efficiently
- May be required to work any shift
- Ability to prioritize and must possess appropriate computer skills
