Territory Manager MundoVino (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Job Description:
The Winebow Group, a prestigious importer and distributor of premium wine and craft spirit products from around the world, seeks a Territory Manager for our MundoVino Portfolio which imports wines from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Spain and Portugal. This position will be based in either NYC or Northern NJ and will be responsible for working the Metro NYC and NJ markets for MundoVino, a member of The Winebow Group. This position will report to the Regional Manager-Northeast

Responsibilities include:

1. Working with our distributor partners to manage/achieve sales and distribution goals. 
2. Devoting majority of time to sales activities in the marketplace: working with distributor sales reps, key acct and chain managers.
3. Ensuring new on/off distribution within a set targeted account base both independent and chain. 
4. Working independently in the market building on already established account relationships while creating new ones. 
5. Identifying competitive activity, pricing and market needs to better service our customers. 
6. Working several nights per week and some weekends.
7. Providing Regional Manager with regular updates on sales accomplishments and activities. 
8. Assisting the Regional Manager with distributor programming 
9. Conducting wine education seminars and portfolio tastings with our brand management team conveying MundoVino portfolio knowledge to our distributors and accounts.
10. Managing all detail of supplier visits and recapping these visits in a timely manner.
11. Using Diver application to review account sales and distribution activity in preparation for field work with suppliers, distributors and brand managers insuring Performance to Goal. 
12. Interacting professionally and on a timely basis with wholesalers, brokers and team members. 
13. Participating in and completing the required annual education program.
Strong and successful candidates for consideration will have:

1. Five plus years’ experience working for a wine supplier, wholesale distributor or broker in the Metro NYC and NJ markets selling Spanish, Portuguese and South American Portfolios. 
2. Superior knowledge of on/off independent and chain accounts in Metro NYC and NJ. 
3. Above average computer skills to include DI Diver application or similar, Microsoft Office. 
4. Strong writing/communication skills and the ability to complete administrative requirements in a timely manner.
5. Exceptional organization skills to coordinate supplier/brand manager market visits, brand blitzes and events that are vehicles for high-end fine wine sales. 
6. Ability to travel to sales meetings and abroad as required.
7. Manage and work a flexible schedule depending upon the needs of your manager, distributors and customers inclusive of nights and weekends.
8. Ability to spend 90% of time on the road devoted to the company sales efforts.
9. Spanish or Portuguese language skills which will be considered a strong qualification.
10. Ability to organize and timely manage the distribution of company point of sale, marketing and PR materials. 
11. Adaptability to change focus as needed depending on senior management direction. 
12. Familiarity with social media tools and their applications to selling fine wine
