On-Premise Sales Representative- Manhattan Market (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

We are currently looking for an On-Premise Salesperson in the Manhattan , Kansas Market. The preferred individual will be an energetic, experienced and responsiblesales professional with a solid knowledge of the beverage industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in either beer, wine, and liquor sales or hospitality beverage management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop outstanding relationships with customers, co-workers, and suppliers while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Consistent achievement of challenging sales goals.
  • Must be able to accomplish timely and productive execution of sales plans and promotions at retail.
  • Attain distribution of new and existing products, as well as, continued emphasis of current brands in the areas of sizes and brand extension.
  • Keep customers current on changes in pricing, including start/return/end of sales.
  • Strive to continually overtake the competition on every level, individually and as a team with other members of the division/company.
  • Adhere to current route and make all scheduled calls, as well as seek out and create new customer leads.
  • Maintain compliance with quality control and product code date standards.
  • Manage accurate inventory levels to minimize out-of-stock and out-of-code issues.
  • Assess/manage product rotation throughout the account to maximize product freshness.
  • Prepare reports, which include product distribution and positioning, display tracking, target accounts for specific products, and sales expenses.
  • Physical exertion will be necessary to achieve desired levels of account management. The employee must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • High level of integrity, commitment, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that is determined to be directly related to the foregoing specified requirements may be considered for substitution.
  • Strong persuasive presentations skills, including the ability to speak before large audiences both internally and externally.
  • Background or experience in the beverage or restaurant/bar industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, including knowledge of industry terms and techniques.
  • Licenses, Age restrictions:
  • Valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver license, and maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment in order to sell alcohol in the state of Kansas.
