Job Description

The Winebow Group, an innovative marketing and sales organization in the wine industry, is looking for a Marketing Associate to work on its import fine wine and spirits portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree with excellent academic achievement

•Strong multi-tasking and prioritization ability

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Enjoy working in a creative and dynamic environment

•Analytical; Ability to understand and explain the drivers behind the results

•Enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn

•Creative thinker; Always looking for new innovative ways to drive engagement and brand loyalty

•Initiative to propose and lead projects to improve the marketing department’s efficiency

•Work well with individuals at all levels of an organization

•Proficient in MS Office with strong experience with PowerPoint and Excel

•Experience in leveraging digital marketing to drive engagement is a plus

•Foreign language capabilities (especially Italian) is a plus but not required

•Ability and flexibility to work independently as well as within a team dynamic 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

General 

•Support the Marketing Managers and Directors in development of brand strategies and marketing plans

•Assist Marketing Managers in carrying out day-to-day progress of product marketing planning and execution 

•Provide order fulfillment for consumer and distributor marketing initiatives

Data and Analysis

•Closely monitor and analyze sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity

•Handle incoming AC Nielsen data and check accuracy of report

•Conduct monthly AC Nielsen analysis

oCreate pivot tables and reports to examine overall wine industry trends

oAnalyze reports to determine trends by varietal, price point, country of origin, SKU, brand, etc.

•Use other outside data such as Impact Databank, Adams Handbook, Wine Business Daily/Monthly, industry publications and internet research to gain deeper understanding of category trends and ways to capitalize on them

•Track, analyze and present monthly brand depletions reports to understand retailer and distributor channel trends

•Create PowerPoint slides for marketing presentations containing relevant and compelling data

Creative Marketing/Point of Sale Materials

•Assist Marketing Managers and Directors in the development and execution of creative in support of the brands and related products:

oWriting, editing and proofing copy, collecting information for publications and programs and gathering relevant resources and tools

oActively follow competitor alcohol companies and other consumer packaged goods companies for benchmarking, inspiration and tracking of creative display and promotional ideas

oCollaborate with managers and directors to develop extensive creative briefs to be used by internal and outside design services and photographers

•Manage Trade Tools portion of internal website

oEnsure all flow POS materials are up-to-date

oOversee rep orders to ensure items are readily available from warehouse and fulfilled in a timely manner

•Coordinate items for all marketing alerts, including headlines, copy, images and links

•Generate creative briefs, Manage designers for art creation, Manage printing, and Coordinate with Winebow Warehopuse for inventory and ordering purposes for the following:

oCreate shelf talkers, neckers, sell sheets, and header cards as requested for acclaim POS

oProduce market-specific POS upon request by area sales reps (menus, menu inserts, table tents)

•Source and price materials for various marketing initiatives 

*Strong experience with working on Social Media in a corporate environment.
