Standard Beverage Corporation is seeking a high energy, professional Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team based in our Wichita office. Position details: We are searching for a sharp, dynamic accounting person who is aspiring for a challenging growth opportunity. The Accounts Payable Accountant will handle all aspects of payables for Standard Beverage Corporation. This person will also assist with other accounting processes such as expense report processing, accounts receivable and month end close.
- Review and audit incoming invoices for appropriate approvals, coding and costs.
- Key accounts payable invoices into system daily.
- Review weekly check runs.
- Research past due invoices, reconcile vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies.
- Answer vendor and customer inquiries.
- Maintain accounts payable files including balance sheets.
- Assist with bi-weekly expense reimbursement.
- Process daily accounts receivable.
- Assist in monthly closings.
- Backup for tax filings including industry specific taxes, use tax and 1099 filing.
- Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Four year degree in related field and 3+ years of relevant experience required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic environment.
- Desire to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Adaptability to change and able to manage competing demands.
- Meet tight deadlines and complete high-volume accounting activities including general ledger preparation as well as year-end tax document preparation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Self-confidence and a professional demeanor. Must be a self-starter and work well in a team atmosphere.
- Professional attitude and a strong work ethic.
