Tasting Room and Wine Club Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

CRŪ Wine Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated team player with proven management skills to handle the daily operations and management of its tasting room and wine club.   The tasting room and wine club manager, with support from the executive team, is directly responsible for the planning and execution of the growth of tasting room sales and wine club membership and oversees the hospitality staff.   This a full-time, salaried position with incentives for achieving revenue goals.   The work week is from Thursday through Monday.   Qualified candidates will have excellent communications skills and be able to positively interact with customers and staff alike.  

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Manage hospitality staff hiring, scheduling, and supervision; conduct performance evaluations of  hospitality staff

• Create and implement hospitality team training and cross training so as to enhance the consumer experience in the tasting room and build consumer loyalty

• Assist in the development of creative programs to drive consumers to the tasting room

• Maintain current tasting notes, signage, and promotional materials for the tasting room

• Develop specific tasting room sales goals and strategies to achieve the sales goals

• Build wine club membership and create special loyalty programs for existing wine club members

• Process wine shipping orders

• Perform monthly inventories and resolve discrepancies if they exist

• Provide leadership and motivation to the hospitality staff in an effort to create a positive and productive work environment

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Outgoing, friendly and hospitality-oriented personality

• Three+ years of management experience in customer service, the hospitality industry or direct-to-consumer sales; wine industry experience preferred

• Passion for wine and willingness to learn more

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; attention to detail is critical

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and react quickly to changing business needs

• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and POS software

• Should be able to lift approximately 40 pounds

• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
