Bottling Mechanic (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Foreman, the Bottling Mechanic is responsible for the day to day maintenance of winey equipment, set up, installation and repair, includes performing bottling line changeovers and giving operational assistance with all bottling equipment.

• Maintain mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic aspects of bottling lines

• Perform preventative maintenance on bottling line equipment including repairs and trouble-shooting

• Troubleshoot and perform emergency repairs on bottling lines and related equipment

• Set up bottling line equipment to produce specific packages

Other Functions:

• Responsible for understanding the Food Safety and Quality Management System and related activities, including the ISO Food Safety & Quality Policy

• Develop troubleshooting skills; investigate, analyze and identify equipment malfunctions

• Assist with Winery maintenance as necessary Working Conditions:

• Moderate to heavy physical work

• Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities

• Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)

• Must comply with all safety equipment requirements including ear plugs and safety glasses

• Exposure to various chemicals in production areas

• Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment

• Long and irregular hours during peak periods or on various shifts

• Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School diploma or GED required.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in bottling, labeling, and packaging equipment repairs, including maintenance of mechanical, bearings and shaft seals

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Problem solving skills in mechanical, electrical or fabrication areas

• Ability to accurately follow instruction and take direction

• Ability to respond to frequently changing production pressures

• Extensive bottling line experience with high speed equipment; must be competent in setup and changeovers as well as troubleshooting #LI-DNP
