POSITION SUMMARY
The Tasting Rooms at Wente Vineyards have immediate openings for part time Wine Ambassadors. Wine Ambassadors are responsible for providing an exceptionally high level of customer service, educating guests about our wines. Additionally, our ambassadors may also deliver tapas style dining and food/wine pairing experiences. Wine Ambassadors actively recruit new wine club members and assist guests in the selection and purchase of wines for enjoyment at the winery or in their homes.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
• A positive attitude and warm and welcoming demeanor
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
• Comfortable with public speaking; ability to provide a welcoming and interactive experience for large groups and group tours
• Strong wine knowledge, interest in wine, wine and food pairing and/or sales background with demonstrated experience closing sales
• Winery, hospitality or related field experience strongly preferred
• Ability to professionally represent the Company when in contact with guests and vendors
• Team focused and detail oriented
• Guest focused with the ability to provide exceptional, high-touch customer service at all times
Candidates must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to be considered for our Wine Ambassador openings. Must be available to work weekends, holidays and special events, as needed. Basic computer skills are necessary; previous experience with a POS system is desired. |
