The Fort Ross Vineyard Tasting Room is looking for experienced Part-Time Tasting Room Associates for our new tasting room located eight miles North of the mouth of the Russian River, off Hwy. 1, between Jenner and Fort Ross.
We are seeking persons with a combination of the following skills and abilities
• wine sales experience with the ability to effectively present and sell wine
• wine & food pairing knowledge
• professional appearance and demeanor but with lots of personality
• likes people and enjoys working in a busy, fast paced environment and can multitask
• can learn about and act as an informed resource for consumers regarding winemaking, winegrowing, wine vintages, availability of products, and brand awards and accolades
• can effectively promote wine club
• has no fear of public speaking, can talk to anyone from anywhere, and is a good listener
• has passion for life and loves what they are doing, can laugh and have fun while still getting the job done
• able to conduct guided tours as needed
• Plus all the duties normally associated with a tasting room position
• Applicants must be fluent in English, be at least 21 years old, have a California Driver’s License and have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
This position will initially be for 2-3 days per week, and applicants must have weekend, weekday, and holiday availability.
