Victory Wine Group, is looking for a passionate professional that is willing to grow and prosper in this dynamic, rapidly evolving organization. Looking for a leader to become the Houston Regional Sales Manager to execute strategic sales initiatives, mentor a team of sales representatives, and manage relationships with key accounts.
Acting on own initiative, the Houston Regional Sales Manager leads a sales team to achieve business plan and performance objectives. This position is responsible for the implementation and execution of strategic sales initiatives, as well as coaching, mentoring and developing direct reports.
The ideal candidate should have great communication skills, possess excellent organizational skills, have the ability to work independently and build strong relationships within the territory.
Regional Manager Position Responsibilities:
• Drives the decision and planning process to meet local objectives. Implement and execute sales programs and pricing strategies. Ensures entire division is operating functionally and profitably.
• Fosters a culture of teamwork; recruits, trains, and develops top talent.
• Accurately assesses strengths and development needs of team members; gives timely, specific feedback and helpful coaching; provides opportunities for development while consistently managing performance.
• Build and maintain close working relationships with the top on and off premise accounts, both chain and independents in Houston market.
• Enforces systems, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and productivity standards.
• Manage responses to requests by internal and external customers.
• Track productivity and other established goals, as well as develop additional metrics as needed to improve and manage distribution processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree with mandatory experience in wine & spirits distribution. At least 2-3 years of wine industry experience managing at the Supplier level, District Manager, Key Account Manager.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a dedication to quality work.
• Comprehensive understanding of wine regions, varietals, techniques, production and service.
• Advance computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Products-Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook.
• Must demonstrate authentic customer engagement, planning, priority setting, and the ability to implement projects
• Excellent communications skills, including public speaking.
• Well organized, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
• In possession of a high level of integrity, confidence, and the ability to forge strong professional relationships quickly.
• Strong desire to continue to grow professionally.
