Negociants USA is headquartered in Napa Valley with a small office team, servicing 7 Territory Managers and 60 distributors across the USA.
Job Description:
The primary focus of the South Central Territory Manager is directly calling on the top 100 key accounts throughout the region, developing relationships and building business for NUSA. The Territory Manager will also be responsible for managing distributors, working with key distributor personnel and ensuring NUSA’s goals and profit objectives are achieved. The Territory Manager must live in Houston or Dallas, and is expected to travel extensively to oversee and manage accounts and distributors in the territory, including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama.
- Key Account selling – minimum 10 - 15 accounts/week (75% top 100 accounts)
- Responsible for achieving ambitious case goals and profit objectives
- Management of distributors including regional budgets, inventory, goals and allocations
- Develop distributor sales incentive programs, negotiate pricing/programming, educate and train sales personnel
- Work each market throughout the region with distributor personnel as well as independently
- Develop and maintain a target account list for both on and off premise accounts
- Conduct retail tastings, trade shows, and distributor meetings / education when necessary
- Develop relationships with all chain buyers located within the region
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of distributor management and/or wine supplier experience in selling wine, building brands and calling on customers (please do not apply otherwise)
- College Degree (preferred)
- Excellent wine knowledge
- Chain Account relationships and experience an asset
- Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
- Possess excellent planning/ organizational skills with the ability to work independently
- Candidate must be professional, focused, goal oriented, and demonstrate a high level of integrity
- Requires strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Internet/Intranet navigation)
- Current valid drivers license with clean record
- Ability to lift / carry up to 40 pounds
