Ray’s Station Winery located in Hopland, CA is seeking to add a Laboratory Technician to its winemaking team. This position performs all routine laboratory analysis of juice, must and wine and also performs data entry. There is excellent growth and development opportunity for the right candidate.

General duties and responsibilities:
•  Perform routine analysis of grape samples, juice, must and wine to include: TA, Brix, pH,
VA, enzymatic RS and MA, NH4+, F/TS02, specific gravity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, 
alcohol and heat/cold stability
•  Monitor primary and secondary fermentation through harvest
•  Manage and train harvest lab interns and/or temporary lab staff
•  Prepare fining and blending trials
•  Order, prepare and maintain lab supplies and reagent inventories
•  Maintain and calibrate instrumentation; standardize reagents
•  Assist in managing AMS lab data base and produce BOLs for shipping
•  Support winemaking team including participation in tastings, blends, trials and reporting
•  Manage UPS shipping for Ray’s Station Winery
•  Other laboratory duties as assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Bachelor of Science in Enology or a related field preferred but not required
•  Valid driver’s license with a clear record
•  Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
•  Working knowledge of AMS software preferred
•  Commitment to excellence and high standards
•  Ability to effectively present information
•  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
•  Ability to manage priorities and workflow
•  Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in an evolving environment 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
•  Must be able to stand for extended periods as required by job duties
•  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs 
•  Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
