DESCRIPTION

As an Accounting Specialist, you will work within our Accounting Department to provide support by undertaking tasks such as back-up payroll processing, accounts payable and other bookkeeping in our accounting software, Orchestrated Beer.

REQUIREMENTS

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities

• Review vendor invoices, check requests and expense statements for completeness, coding and approval prior to entry for payment.
• Reconciling purchase orders with invoices.
• Preparing bank deposits and entering into accounting system.
• Corporate credit card statement and expense report processing.
• New vendor set up, maintaining vendor statements and relationships.
• Provide support with accounts receivable functions.
• Research, track, and resolve accounting problems and invoice discrepancies.
• Other accounting and clerical functions as needed. Our finance team constantly evolves to meet the needs of a growing company.

Qualifications

• One to two years related experience; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent computer skills, including experience and efficiency with MS Excel.
• Experience with Accounting or ERP systems is a plus. We use OrchestratedBEER/SAP Business One.
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to deal with a variety of personalities in a professional manner.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, respond quickly and deliver on-time when applicable.
• Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-through skills along with ability to handle details accurately.
