Michel-Schlumberger Wine Estate, located in beautiful Dry Creek Valley, is looking for a manager to lead our tasting room and other direct-to-consumer initiatives. The ideal candidate must be motivated, sales-oriented, and possess a creative mind for developing solutions to challenges as well as conceiving new ways to grow the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, create, and execute business plans to significantly increase sales and profits in the tasting room and other direct channels.
Oversee daily operations of the tasting room.
Track tasting room sales and other key metrics, making adjustments as necessary.
Lead the training and education of the tasting room team.
Conduct VIP tastings as well as assist with hosting special events at the winery.
Develop and execute programs to drive qualified traffic and sales to the winery, creating a unique and compelling experience in the tasting room that brings visitors back with their friends.
Maintain up-to-date tasting menus, signage, and promotional materials for the tasting room.
Conduct monthly inventory, investigating and resolving all discrepancies.
Assist in planning and coordinating winery events.
QUALIFICATIONS
A dynamic, engaging, creative personality to lead the tasting room with enthusiasm.
Industry experience is not required, but supervisory experience is essential.
High level of organizational and time management skills.
Proven sales and customer service skills.
Ability to work and manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with a polished presentation.
Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
