Medlock Ames Winery, located in Healdsburg, CA, is a premier producer of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay wines. We are dedicated not only to the production of premier quality wine but to environmental sustainability as well. Our vineyards are farmed organically with no insecticides, chemical fertilizers or herbicides and solar power provides the energy we need to run. It is our belief that the land we farm is our greatest asset and we take every precaution to nurture and protect it.
We are looking for well-qualified individuals with prior harvest experience to join our team for this 2017 harvest season. Candidates must be passionate about wine, have a positive attitude, detail-oriented and excited to work hard.
Interns will assist in all facets of harvest work including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, sorting fruit, punchdowns/pumpovers, making basic additions and managing fermentations according to winemaker instructions, barrel work, and other winery-related tasks.
Positions will start in early September and will run through November.
Requirements:
Previous winery experience is required
Forklift experience is a plus
Ability to work long hours and on weekends as needed
Ability to read, write and speak English
Hourly pay is determined based on experience
