Citarella, The Ultimate Gourmet Market, is seeking a LEAD WINE SALESPERSON to join our team in Greenwich, Connecticut! We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on leader who is passionate about wine and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Summary

This role will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations for our wine & spirits shop located in Greenwich, CT.  The Lead Wine Salesperson plays a key role in leading all merchandising functions including products orders, purchasing, and delivery, overall appearance and visual presentation of the store, and executing the Company’s retail strategy to drive sales and retain/grow our customer base.

Qualifications:

·         Minimum of 3 years in a lead sales role at a wine & spirits shop/operation or similar role with emphasis on customer service, purchasing, and sales

·         Minimum 2 years experience in purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory management

·         Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing 2-3 associates

·         Expert knowledge, background, and ability to sell wines & spirits

·         Ability to build professional working relationships, engage and attract customers to our product, and develop positive customer relationships

·         Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays as needed

·         Must be able to meet physical demands of the role including standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling, pushing, etc.
