Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits currently seeks a District Manager – Georgia and Alabama that possess the following:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or significant & relevant industry experience required
Beverage industry professional with a minimum of 3 years’ street sales experience with a supplier or distributor; wine or spirits background is preferred
Experience selling to multiple trade channels is beneficial. Existing trade/account relationships preferred
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and build confidence with distributor sales team and trade accounts
Excellent written and verbal skills
Excellent presentation skills
Problem solving, decision making skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task well
Ability to take and apply guidance to then work independently towards obtaining goals.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to analyze and utilize available tools (Diver/Cognos, Nielsen) that will identify opportunities to create sales
Responsibilities:
Responsible for building strong professional relationships with trade accounts; making sales presentations and closing sales
Responsible for calling on a defined target account list to achieve specific objectives
Responsible for making effective sales calls independently and with distributor sales staff
Provide distributor direction on DFWS product priorities and brand standards
Provide ongoing education of distributor sales staff on making effective sales calls using Feature
& Benefits sales techniques
Perform effective brand training of our products to distributor sales staff and trade customers
Implement and execute National Marketing and local tactical programs in the trade that will generate consumer brand pull
Participate in trade functions as needed to support brand sales in the territory
Responsible for effectively managing DFWS brand standards
Identify, develop, build and maintain collaborative working relationships that motivate distributor sales staff (Managers and Sales Reps) and capture a strong share of mind for DFWS products
Present trade observations and market trends to RM to help create added value to trade and distributor sales programs that will positively impact sales
Travel across the assigned territory as needed to effectively accomplish DM responsibilities
Effectively manage and maximize any budgets assigned to you for the benefit of DFWS product sales
