Troon Vineyard in the Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon is seeking an experienced viticulturist to manage our 100 acre estate and fifty acres of vines. Our program to convert our entire estate to biodynamic agriculture will be led by the vineyard manager. In addition, an aggressive planting, replanting and grafting program focused on expanding our acreage of Rhône varieties and diverse Mediterranean varieties including: picpoul, aglianco, fiano and gros manseng is scheduled to begin in 2018.
The successful candidate will have at least five years field experience in managing vineyards and vineyard crews and an extensive knowledge of, and commitment to, biodynamic agriculture. A working knowledge of the Spanish language is required.
This is a full-time salaried position including benefits and includes managing a full-time vineyard crew of six.
Other Requirements:
Basic business computer skills
Ability to work overtime, weekends and harvest as needed
Valid drivers license
This is active physical job position that requires the ability to live and move up to 50 lbs. and work long hours on your feet in difficult terrain
