Compliance Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

The Winebow Group is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager with a proven track record, preferable from a regulated or wine/spirits industry to join our already successful team. This position can be located in either our Glen Allen, VA or Pine Brook, NJ. 

In this position you would be responsible for
1. Supervising and leading efforts of the compliance team in maintaining compliance with federal, state and local alcoholic beverage laws by filling necessary license applications, TTB COLA label approval applications, state brand registration applications and price postings. 
2. Communicate directly with suppliers and serve as the primary point of contact between business leaders and the Director of Compliance. 
3. Communicate with agency representatives, as necessary, to address compliance questions and issues that may arise.
4. Ensures documentation received from supplier and submitted to TTB and/or state regulatory agencies is well-organized and maintained in accordance with federal or state record-keeping requirements. 
5. Respond to compliance questions received from suppliers and internal staff.
6. Assist Director of Compliance in communicating with internal departments and senior management to keep them informed of any problems with labeling or brand registration that may prevent them from selling or importing.
7. Keeps Director of Compliance informed of new brands and registrations.

Job Requirements 
1.College Degree (BA or BS) required. May consider candidates with comparable experience in a regulated industry or with a regulatory compliance company. 
2. 2+ years of experience handling all government, regulatory and compliance requirements for firm in wine and spirits industry.
3. Excellent communication and organization skills with attention to details. 
4. Ability to organize and meet deadlines for a wide variety of job assignments.
5. Prior experience in a small to mid-size dynamic company a plus.
