Job Summary:
Provide hands on support for the Winemaking Team, Cellar and Lab during harvest. Working primarily in the red fermentation cellar.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Red Fermentation (75%) Works with Winemaking and Cellar management to organize and prioritize and complete Red fermentation cellar activities. The position will support winemaking by monitoring wine quality during ferment and provide feedback when a defect or anomaly is identified. Will lead red fermentation team (2-6 people) on day shift and performs cellar tasks including but not limited to pumpovers, additions, drain & return, drain & empty tanks for pressing, cleaning tanks in preparation for filling. May assist with writing of work orders, related to red fermentation. Ensures work is completed in a safe manner, maximizing quality of wines produced and is completed in an efficient manner.
Administrative (25%)
Utilizes a system to visually communicate key daily red cellar activities and priorities.
organize, prioritize & display red cellar work orders and pumpover logs.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience: Minimum experience working 2 harvest seasons, red fermentation management and/or in the process of/or completed an Enology and/or Viticulture degree (preferred not required).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent organizational and communication skills. Computer skills required with solid MS Word and Excel skills Able to work independently or in a team environment.
