eCommerce Associate, Outbound Sales (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Job Summary:  To drive telephone sales and eCommerce business through outbound calling efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 Sales & Customer Service: (75%)

  • Perform outbound telephone sales operations selling wine and merchandise to our customer database.
  • Communicate and promote winery events, experiences, and wine family benefits to customers and cross sell/up sell additional services and products.
  • Update internal shared customer databases with new information gathered during calls.
  • Ensure that all company established procedures and policies are followed.  Work with Manager to suggest new policies as needed.
  • Respond accurately to customer inquiries via telephone and email within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Suggest and maintain customer service best practices to Manager, based on customer interaction experience.
  • Maintain a comfortable, friendly, and informative customer service environment via face-to-face, phone, and email communication, including other departments.
  • Act as backup for eCommerce Associate position when necessary, answering incoming calls and emails, assisting customers with orders, providing customer service, and troubleshooting customer concerns.
  • Work events on property at the winery as an ambassador of our company, educating guests about our wines, merchandise, and providing exemplary customer service as part of the Coppola experience.
  • Be able to respond to other departmental or company needs or changes as necessary.

 Reporting: (10%) 

  • Create reports as needed to determine appropriate calling lists
  • Maintain telesales daily, weekly & monthly report

 Marketing & Promotions: (10%)

  • Work with Manager to develop online promotions.
  • Develop and execute outside phone sales promotions; present to Manager for approval
  • Generate leads and manage relationship(s) with outside sales partners and vendors.

 eCommerce Daily Tasks: (5%)

  • Work with Manager to be competent in daily processes and tasks in Manager’s absence
  • Process orders in B-Loyal, and add to batches for the Shipping Department
  • Answering emails and voicemails as necessary- customer service based duties

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other: Computer proficiency in MS Office, Internet; computer applications preferably with shipping and inventory software; Basic knowledge of Photoshop and HTML, previous retail/e-commerce experience, previous supervisory experience, some marketing related experience, experience in the wine industry.
