As the Supply Chain Manager at E. & J. Gallo Winery, you will have a tremendous impact on the success of the winery.  The Supply Chain Manager is a highly visible leader in the winery and is engaged in every facet of the business process – S&OP, planning, purchasing, production, transportation, storage & distribution, customer service, and more! In short, the Supply Chain Manager is the “catalyst” that integrates and aligns the different functions of the organization.

What You Will Do

Cross Functional Leadership

  • Resolve issues by presenting various alternatives for decision at monthly S&OP meetings.
  • Participate in meetings, and keep up to date on issues related to Sales Forecast, Manufacturing, Planning, New Product, Line Fill Rates, Metrics, and other related Supply Chain issues.

Process/System Understanding

  • Coordinate supply of finished goods, assembled components and parts to intercompany and distribution centers.  Schedule requirements using ERP Production Planning Module. 
  • Use Capacity Planning tools to determine if production will be constrained in future periods; load level production plan, and identify potential corrective actions such as: working overtime, adding equipment, outsourcing or expediting

Performance Management

  • Achieve target customer service levels and inventory turn levels based on forecast error and bias trends, manufacturing capacity/flexibility and customer service and inventory turn goals.  Review monthly.
  • Issues actual versus scheduled production metrics weekly and ensure compliance to schedule is achievable. (Schedule Compliance Metric)

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years supply chain management, finance, supplier development, production, or operations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution plus 9 years of supply chain management finance, supplier development, production, or operations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma problem solving methodologies.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor of Business Administration with a supply chain management concentration plus 7 years of production planning experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in presenting issues clearly and concisely; generate accurate analysis, with a good understanding of the cause and effect that will occur with each alternative solution both inside and outside the supply chain.
  • Experience leading cross- functional decision-making processes with all levels of employees.
  • Skilled in using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint .
