Risdall Ranch Winery is an up-and-coming winery in the Willamette Valley. We are currently looking for seasonal help during harvest months. We like to work hard in an upbeat atmosphere of like-minded people. A good attitude and sense of humor is a must, especially during harvest. Applications are accepted in person, or via email. Job Requirements:
1) Must be able to lift 40 lbs
2) Must be able to work for ~10 hour shifts at a time
3) Must be able to work well with others in a small environment
4) Must be willing to get dirty. Winemaking may seem glamorous, but you will be covered in juice and water multiple times per shift
5) Applicant will be using chemicals, some harmless, others caustic. Safety precautions will be in place, and all employees will abide by the rules for their own health and safety.
6) Must be able to climb into tanks to clean
Job Duties:
1) Cap management
2) Racking
3) Barreling
4) Fruit processing
5) Cleaning things, moving them, cleaning them again, and probably moving them around again.
6) Keeping other coworkers from going insane (very important)
7) Other duties as assigned
Bonus, but not required
1) Forklift certified/forklift experience
2) Prior harvest experience (an education is great, prior experience is better)
3) Enjoys beer and grilled foods (grilling/culinary experience to boost morale is also beneficial)
4) Can hold conversations about memes, sci-fi, anime, the internet
5) A love for dogs
6) Cool Spotify playlists
Pay
1) $12.50 per hour
2) Housing may be arranged if needed. Give us a call if you are interested in our housing option.
Employment period
1) Mid August to roughly the end of November
