Seasonal / Holiday Wine Sales Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

California Wine Merchants is looking for seasonal sales associates to work at our Financial District shop Saturdays and Sundays from ‘ASAP’ through the end of the year 2014. Hours on weekends are 1-7pm. There is potential for ongoing part time employment for the right candidate.

An ardent interest in wine, with a particular enthusiasm for California wines, is essential. This job is perfect for someone who is looking to break in to the wine industry or just feed their passion by surrounding themselves with interesting wine and wine-savvy people for a few hours each week.

Candidates must be outgoing, confident, and sales oriented. Primary responsibilities include getting to know our inventory, selling to customers on the floor and over the phone, and maintaining a clean shop. During the holidays there will also be a good deal of packing up boxes for UPS shipments, running out local deliveries, and gift wrapping bottles. Must be able to lift 35-40 pound case boxes.
